What is going on????
So I made a post this morning about my flash acting weird. Anyway I decided to call evoms and see what they had to say. Well after my flash my check engine light came on, evoms says that there may have been some things wrong before but it was not large enought to throw a code and that now the flash is demanding more performance, anything before that did not throw a code now will. Anyway they use the VAGcom and 2 codes come up both are unknown. They say call audi. This was 2 days ago. I call today to see why my flash works for 10 minutes then goes stock he says my check engine light might be flagging my car to be more safe so we dont brerak whatever is currently throwing the code. Okay so I call AUDI with the codes, by the way I physically saw both autozone and evoms pull these codes, and AUDI computers come back with nothing like they dont exist. Whats the deal.

RE: What is going on????
Please dont open up a new thread on the same subject as the one you opened up earlier!
The tuner should have recorded and cleared any codes that were present in the ecu before flashing. The tuner should have ALSO done a throtle body alignment too. Didnt I already explain to you in the other thread about the ecu adapting?? If the cel isnt flashing and the car drives ok other than inconsistant performance, it may go away while the ecu is adapting, or after it has fully adapted. But try disconnecting the battery for 30 mins and see what happens after that. You need to do a TBA when you hook the battery back up and you can find out how to do it for your yr at www.ross-tech.com Im pretty sure you can do it without vag or special audi equipment.

okay. sorry for the duplicate thread, don't think the scolding was neccisary but anyways it won't happen again. But okay I will try that, By the way how do you do a throttle body allignment doesn't it require your key or something?

RE: What is going on????
by the way the audi specialist at evoms said my car wasa acting irregulaar and thats the only reason I felt to need to revisit the situation. Any thought son why audi can't find the engine codes though?

RE: What is going on????
he said after 2 or 3 cold starts the ecu should be addapted. And that working then shutting off is not regular and more than likely is an ecu failsafe dude to whatever is causing my check engine light to turn on. I was just looking for a second opinion.

RE: What is going on????
Based on mine and many others experience the on and off performance after getting chipped is normal and makes sense while the ecu adapts. A CEL isnt very common though while its adapting. But just try what i told you and report back here.
