what will happen if l don't replace me load control arms - upper.....l will be getting rid of hte car next year and l don't want to put anymore money in to it...

 

they will cause more damage to other control arms and also tie rod ends. when this stuff starts to go your car will be harder to control. it will probably affect your shocks to.

have you called your dealer to talk to them about the control arm issue (recall on the upper ones)

 

I went to the dealer like a month ago. The recall was on the lower ones, because my right upper one is shot and its not under recall. How do you know your uppers are shot? You getting noise or had it into the dealership? I get a squeaking sometimes.

 

doesn't the dealership say that the car must be current with audi service intervals...if the audi maintence checks were not done then they are not responsible for the replacement of hte control arms...

so if l didn't get my car serviced at all from the dealership...can l still get my load control arms replaced....

 

No. You have to present your maintainance records before they will do the servicing if it is under a recall.

Really?? They still asked me for my service papers even though I was going in for a recall.
