It's heavily dependent on how well the car has been cared for as well. I'd take an 80,000 mile Audi that had a complete maintenance record over a 60,000 mile one that didn't.

Yeah, my parents just got rid of this car www.audi.offtone.com a few months ago... and bought a 2002. i've since bought my 2000, and we also have a 2001 Golf 1.8T in the driveway (making for three 1.8's)... the 96 had 207 000 km on it, which is roughly 130K miles... and I actually met up with the guy who bought the car from my parents, and traded wheels with him (I liked the old 5 spokes more than my 10 spoke sport pkg wheels)... he said the car is running great. It's still has all major parts original, that even goes for the clutch still being original. Drive it like its an audi, not a ferrari, and it will last you a long time. The v6's are beautiful cars to drive, very quiet, very very smooth, but obviously not as mod friendly. Who knows, as I said before, lets hope the 1.8's are good for a while, we're counting on 3 of them. :P
