What mods to look for?

What mods to look for?
When I'm on the lots looking for a 2001 A4 1.8t is there anything in particular I should look for? Is it easy to see if there is a chip installed? Any other mods that will be fairly obvious? Remember I'm not familiar with mods and these cars so any help will be good.

no its hard to see a chip its inside the ECU so uneless you take out the ECU
if u see if the car has a APR, GIAC, or REVO sticker im sure it has a chip
u kno the basics its easy to tell if they have an aftermarkert exhuast
and im sure the FMIC will be visual if they have one
