how in the hell are you at 8.5L/100km? is that ALL highway? The best I can do with mixed driving is 9.5.

Wow sounds like you guys have lead feet. I'm averaging 14.8 mpg, mostly city in my S4. A4's should be getting low 20's

 

thats my whole problem i dont floor it and i still get 240 a gallon in the 2.8

 

I get about 20mpg highway for 2004 Q3.0... always thought this was too low... anyone else getting this kinda mpg for a Q3.0?

Ericyoss, I know the V6's drink alot, unless Ur heavy on the pedal, 20MPG sounds about right. I'm getting between 370-390 miles per tank on 98 octane. I had my 3.0 chipped by a German tuner 3 months after purchase, amazingly since I had it chipped I'm getting better fuel economy.

 

I'm getting about 415 per tank

Ericyoss, you should consider getting a chip. There's a fresh post in the A4 forum on a chip by Tap1 for the 2.8 30V that claims gains of 18+ ponies. I don't know if Tap1 chip also applies to the 3.0 30V.
