i have a 98.5 2.8l 30v stock a4 quattro. with 130k and manual trans. the air bag light is on ( not sure why ) and the check engine light is also on ... from miss fires ... A/C doesn't work properly... i recently accuried it about 8 months ago with 120k for 6k and it runs good. and i am now thinkin of getting a b6 or at least a later b5 model with lesss miles !!! ... whats a fair asking price ? i plan to fix the check engine light before sale.

done that .... along with many other searches .... but i never really take those prices into consideration they vary to much ...

 

hmmm.. that's true.. it's kind of hard to base a car on "good" condition.. what gives right to call a car good? or "exelent?" "poor?"

depends on the area, the miles are gonna kick your *** too. i dunno if ive seen em for 6500-7k up here in the seattle area. dunno tho i always excluded cars 100k+

 

Have you checked the NADA guides? I have found that to be the best barometer of price in my area.

 

how are you going to fix it ? take the bulb out ?

 

put it up for 7, dont take any less than 6

 

i'd say closer to 5 because of that mileage and the check airbag light might signal a lot of trouble to potential buyers.
