I was a the dealership the other day they say to use Castrol cause it formulated for the European cars. I
usually use Mobil. So what say you peeps changing my oil tom.

I don't think I've ever read that anyone uses it on one of these "Which Oil," threads (which should probably make me nervous), but I've been using Pennzoil Platinum 5w30 and have no complaints.

 

mobil is trash as afar as I am concerned....i've been runing castrol 10w-40, and changing it every 2.5k

now that it's getting colder I need to switch to some 0w-40, which ima have to order since I cant pick up anything in 0w40 up here besides mobil...

royal purple or Amzoil is prolly what I'll run this winter....

 

Mobil 1 5W30 in all of my cars. Might start putting Royal Purple in my Vette though.

 

Why do you say Mobil 1 is bad??? I have used that in my car since I got it (0W40) and have not had a single problem.

Amzoil or Redline oil, only the true synthetics ever touch my engines.

 

amsoil. it has the highest viscosity index and flash point, my car always runs cooler, and gas mileage improves. its worth the extra money

 

All my buddies run that stuff in there mustangs. I asked my friends the same ? and they all in unision said ambsoil.

 

my only question is this... is Ambsoil, Amsoil or Amzoil?
