Well, since the car is very close to 60K miles. I'd check with the owner if the timing belt job has been done. If not, expect to pay a good amount to get it done sooon.
Also check the control arms of the car. Test drive it without music on and listen for any noises such that could lead to bad wheel bearings and such.
Oh and check the Cruise Control also, they have been known to die out quickly on Audi's.

If you find anything along those lines, i'm pretty sure you can bring him down to about 14K or possibly lower.
Good Luck!!

What options does it have? Sport packages are very sought after in 01, as they got the 17" RS4 wheels... Xenon headlights are a plus, as well as the cold weather package (if you live in cold weather, obviously)

And yeah, timing belt costs 700+ if you pay somebody to do it... and it should be done at 60 - 70K miles... so work that into your negotiations. The price strikes me as high... unless it has sport pkg/xenons and is immaculate... but I live in Canada, so I am not current on the prices down there.

KBB it shows 15 And above so i am not sure.. he says the Audi warranty covers for timing belt .. i checked with the audi dealer they dont change the timing belt before 90K..it is the recommened milage they are saying.. and in addition they are saying if it goes in middle that will be covered in warranty..i am confused on timing belt replacement time..why the dealer says 90 K..
