When i got my pads replaced for my civic, the new pads sucked *****. I was majorly dissappointed.

So, I dont want ot make the same mistake again. What are some good brand/version brake pads for a stock braking system for b6s?

edit, well, after checking their site, they are saying that they dont have anything for your application[&:]

 

Mintex red box are good replacements for stock, a little better than OEM for spirited street driving. Blue box are closer to track pads.

Also Hawk ceramics ($$$$$$$) are good, and EBC makes some decent brakes, green for aggressive street, or red for more performance, blue or yellow for all out track.

Hawk is a good brand. I heard Mintex Red Box is also good. You can get them from Tire Rack, ECS Tuning or rockauto.com.

 

PBR ceramics. Low dust, and bite hard when hot. Only downside is the occasional squeal.

 

i wished i had gotten the hawk HPS but i ended up with hawk ceramics because i wanted low dust which they are very very low dust! but they dont have a hard initial bite like i like but once they are warmed up they are better... if u want ultra low dust they are the pad to get, just a little spongy @ first

 

I don't like spongy. lol.

So mintex red box it is. So is there a special number i should be looking for when buying pads for the b6? I'd hate to order the wrong ones.

ecs tuning says there HPS hawk only fits 288 or 312mm rotors?

What are the sizes of b6 rotors?

ES#617 is the product number ( i copied and pasted, that is why this is large.)

 

Oh yea, I've been checking the pads out. And some have sensors, some don't. Does my car have the sensor ability stock?

 

yes your car will have sensors.. you can just loop them with a connector if u ever get into race pads but mine have connectors...

and you will have 288mm rotors... 312mm are for the 3.0 engines... i put this upgrade on my car for the bigger rotors

i like the hawk hps better than the mintex but i havent really heard bad things about the mintex, probably a good buy for the $
