so far it is back to normal im sooo glad it was just limp dick mode but im still going to check for leaks just to be on the safe side

I have the same car as you and i tried running a MBC but it kept going into limp. same symptoms as you and I just took the MBC out and put my race valve back in. are you sure your MBC is calibrated the right way?

 

its because you where over boosting and the car went into limp mode. what did you have yoru psi set to?

 

Sounds like over boosting, might have turned the dial one half turn to many lol

 

blown turbo = cloud of white smoke out the exhaust pipe.

 

Our turbos are coolant cooled?

 

i have a forge 3 prong mbc which i have never turned to dial up or down from the day i got the car with it on it i just moved where it was located last week i did like where it was but i was having boost issues before i moved it. it was set at 18psi which is what my car wants and sometime it would spike at 22psi then drop to 18psi right away. i check around the turbo and exhaust manifold to see if i could feel any leaks and didn't feel any. on my drive to work tonight i could hit 18psi but it is not smooth as it was before i had these issues so i think im going to order a forge unos mbc since right now i have one of the cheaper 3 prong forge valves, so maybe it will smooth it out alittle bit.

 

Ball and spring mbc and stock turbos are not a great combo.
