The ride is excellent. The only significant difference is the tire noise, which isn't bad but it is louder than the stock set up. I also stress about hitting potholes etc, since there isn't much tire to protect the wheels (one is slightly bent on the inside edge). The steering also feels a little heavier than stock but not much. In my opinion, the looks of them make up for any of these issues.

Thanks man, that is very reassuring. I gave up on trying to convince him to buy wheels... and just bought them myself... so now I know I can at least convince him to try them on, and drive it for a bit. I was just worried he'd want them taken off... haha!

Which wheels do you have? They look like axis. I heard they can be a bit soft... so watching the potholes would be a good idea if that is what they are! They look really really good though... I can't believe that is just on stock suspension. Very good stuff. Any other pictures of it?

Yes, they are Axis Supermesh. I've had them for a couple years, and overall they've held up. There are more pics in the photo gallery.

My experience is the same - 19's with 235's on stock sport suspension had little effect on the excellent stock ride. Handling is awesome, and they look great - 19's are the right size for the B6. The Goodyear F1's are nice and quiet too, and the ride height worked out great. Anyone thinking of going with 19's on their B6 should not hesitate.
