i don't do alot of street racing but i never back down from a challenge ... it's always fun ... but i'm gonna need a clutch pretty soon and i don't know what to get. i'm totally in a bind on deciding . b/c i have no experience with different clutchs. should i go stock , stage 1 or stage 2. and is it really that difficult to drive a stage 2 ? thanks guys ..

 

stage 2. NO Light flywheel they suck ***** and chatter just get a stage 2 clutch only and you'll be fine.

 

yeah, stage 2 and its still daily drivable but capable of holding some power.

 

I don't think our 99 or less B5s have the chatter problem. Stage 2.

 

hmm ... ok ... so with a stage 2 is it still easy to make smooth shifts? .... and no fly wheel ( whatever that it ) haha ...

 

A flywheel bolts to the crank and is what the clutch is bolted to (on the other side) You might want to have the flywheel re-surfaced to aid in the life of the new clutch (this wont cost much) Also when I put in any performance clutch I have them balanced together.....just a thought not saying you have to.

 

i have a 2001 and i hardly get any chatter almost never with my lwfw

 

Its a comon problem not saying every audi with a lwfw has it.
