What would you guys say to this?
So I'm about to sell my 1999 A4 1.8T 122,900 miles good condition, KBB says $7,155.
This guy emails me and says:
Your car is8 years old, and has 123.000 miles on Audi's4-cyl 1.8T engine which is by far less reliablethan the 6-cylinder 2.8 liter engine. You see many2.8sthat have200.000 miles on themor more. I ownsuch an Audimyself. Have you seen any 1.8Tto go that far? Well, doyour homework if you really want to sell!Good luck!

tell him to **** off #1 - there are plenty of 1.8t's out there with high miles. 2.8's are only good if you don't plan on ever needing more power. just email him back and say "the 1.8t gets better gas milage" lol - How much are you trying to sell it for. - I would put you at 5k if your pre-facelift and 5500-6k if you post-facelift
tell him he knows nothing and should lose his audi privledges immediately if not sooner, normally I believe KBB is over what you should actually sell for. Good luck on the sale.

I have the 99.5 so it looks like the 2000 model. I listed it for 7k because the car runs great but I'm willing to take 6500, and he said yest he was willing to pay that, but then he just emailed me that.
Yeah KBB is always a little overvalued. I usually go by NADA's used car values, because that's what dealerships usually seem to use. Assuming you have quattro, a manual transmission, and a sunroof, NADA says $6,575.00 for your car.
