The 1.8t manual tranny has such short gears, Id personally go for something that spools a little sooner, even though it might not be thebiggest/most powerful choice.

 

haha, you cant even buy a turbo for a grand... let alone all of the supporting mods

your only option for a grand or less is the k04 at about 800 bucks
and that wont yield you any performance gain unless you have software for it 500+

 

You could piece together a K04 kit for that.
