Default What's this button for??

Found a button becide the drivers seat on the plastic panel about 6 inches above where the seatbelt goes back to its mounting bolt. It only lights up when the door is open, I can't figure out what it's for.

Also, what is the difference between the two buttons that control the stock fog lights? One lights up green, the other yellow. Other than that I'm lost.

Thanks for helping out the noob with no owners manual.

green is front fog lights, other is rear

that button under the seetbelt is about alarm sistem. it enable and disable the alarm inside the car about the movement... I dont know how to say but

examp. if you leave your dog and lock the doors, u must push that butten otherwise alarm will think there is someone in the car and will sound...

That mysterious button I believe is for the child safety locks.

The Green fog light button is for the front fog lights. The orange/amber one is for the rear fog light.

EDIT: Well there ya go..I guess its not for the child safety locks...

AHH...NO!...worng.....if you leave any windows in your car open, and lock the car...in about 3-4 minutes your alarm will start going of.....after you turn off your car...if any windows are open....press and hold that button till the light goes on (1-2 secs)..then you can lock your car wiht the windows open....

in the manual for 2000 a4, it says that it's for motion detection inside the car.
but the way it works is that it'll make the alarm sound if the windows are open too. it happened to me as well.
