What is this thing, and is the hissing sound my car is making a result of the tiny hole

its been covered many times, its a one way valve and it needs to be replaced

you my friend have a boost leak.. get that fixed its 12 bucks at the dealer.. make sure it has two different colors and goes back on the same way it came off.. "One way check Valve" im sure you get the point

 

go to the dealer - its cheap or check out ecstuning or purems if your order a bunch of stuff (save on shipping)

Geez you are like the 3rd person this month to have that problem! Im pretty sure that would give you a vac leak, not a boost leak though?

 

i had the same problem. I lost all my boost and the car was slower than hell. I replaced the checkvalve and bought a dv. I got most of my boost back but the damn check engine light still won't go off.
