i have a 2000 white a4with the black moldings and side skirts and lip on the front and rear bumpers.... i was wondering what the deal was with getting them painted? can i just paint the molding itself or will the paint peel or is there a different part you buy? help me out

 

hi welcome to the forum, you can sand it primer it and paint it yourself, or take it to a bodyshop and have them do it

 

also, those parts are often referred to as "the lowers" so if you search for painting the lowers or something along that line, you might be able to pull something up

 

i was going to do that but the robbuer on the bottom of the door is flexible and doesnt seem like it can be painted, on that picture of the a4 in your reply it like that car doesnt even have the black rubber on the bottom of the door

 

your talking about the sig pic, is there something else you are referring to? because if you look at the left half of the sig pic its a close up of the lowers.. or are you just pointing out that you cant see them because of the shadows on the left pic?

 

Its a pretty common thing to paint them, id say most of the people here have done it or had it done.... If you do it right the paint wont come off
