im looking to buy an a4 2.8. as of now all i can find are 2.8 with 12 valves not the 30 valve for about 6,000. is there a big difference between the 12 valve and 30?

 

12v is 170 hp
30v is 190 hp

30v has slightly more mods for it, and when i say slightly, i mean a sc..

i think ill just get the 12v if thats the only really difference. plus i dont feel like spending another 2 grand just for 20 more hp when i could possibly get that from n exhaust and intake. and i dont think id ever get the sc its way to expensive i could rebuild an engine for that price.

 

Whatever you do don't get a 12V. If you want more hp only real options you've got are intake, catback, throttle body boring, and a $5000 SC. Other than that you've got a safe, reliable and by no means slow V6.

 

my 12v is by no means fast, but definately fun to drive..

 

if someone purposely gets a 12v knowing how much they suck i think the world might explode

when you say by no means slow v6 are you reffering to the 12v or 30v?

oh ok, damn why cant there be any 30v around here for sale at the same price of the 12v
