Hey guys im researching for a new car.. the A4 or the A6.. What car is faster (stock) the A4 vs. the A6 -Automatic....... or the A4 vs. the A6- Manual????

 

Uh, what year? How about a few more details.

 

Power to weight Ratio on cars with Same engine and Tranny

 

You've got to at least give us the engines you are comparing. But seeing as you are asking about the A4 and the A6, I'm guessing you're talking about the 2.8 or 3.0 engines, since that is the only one they share. My guess (and I'm a newbie when it comes to Audi) is that the A4 is going to have an advantage. The A6 will be a heavier car... like Shaunp05 said, power to weight, the A4 will come out on top. That is unless there's something I don't know about like, they put a 500 pound lead weight in all A4's. Don't buy a car soley on which one goes faster. WHen you talk about an Audi, you talk about other things like refinement in automotive engineering.... ah who am I kidding, get the A4, it goes faster......

How about 2.7T A6 vs. 1.8T A4?

 

i say the A6 wit the 2.7 will be faster the A4 would be giving up 100Hp (250vs150Hp) thats lot of power for the disadvantage of wieght
