Hi, i just recently bought a 2003 audi a4 3.0 quattro and having an issue with it. I have a check engine light that popped up and almost everytime i start the car it starts than dies right away like its out of gas or not getting enough gas. If i start it and hit the gas right away it will stay on.

Anyone have this problem? Any idea what it could be? I know i can go get it checked out but i wanted to get an idea of the problem for to make sure im not going to fix something the mechanic "thinks" is the problem and just waste my money.
