You had a Miata?
I had one for about a year. I had a 1.6L and that was about 7 years ago.

1.6 ftw! Those guys with their huge 1.8's think they are so cool, but I'm laughing all the way to the gas station! I do like the Torsen LSD way better than the viscous one that I have, but it's allll good!

With all the talk of limited slip, has anyone with a quattro ever spun up a single wheel (andonly one wheel) when all four tires were on the ground and there was no ice present?(one tire in the air or ice exceeds the bias ratio) I never have, and I've placed the quattro system into some very extreme situations when testing the original Torsens in the 80's. With the Torsen center diff we can never have all the power going to only one wheel (except air or ice), our minimum is two, one of the fronts and one of the rears. We tested Torsen centers and Torsen rear diffs, but they exhibited some throttle induced torque transitions while cornering that were unsettling at best (wet)and scary at worst (snow).
I agree with CLX, gears are better than viscous fluid and plates. Viscous systems are speed sensitive diffs, while gears are TORque SENsitive diffs. Torque is instantaneous.
Specv relax, there's little chance that you'll ever notice that you don't have limited slip diffs at the axles. Your quattro will find traction in situations that will impress you, and impress those that are stuck or spinningaround you.
