If my k03 assed out I would prolly go w/ a k03 sport just because it would be really cheap and I don't wanna risk a k04 on my tip. Also you woudn't need to change software. Plus I think I'm done putting money into my car because I'm startin to save for a new one possibly early next year. The more mods I buy the longer I wait for a new one.

the jetta and the A4 1.8ts are different engines the A4 is Longitudal engine
and the jetta is a transversal, the engines are placed differently in the bay and htey arent really the same
thats why we can use the TT k04 on our engines
so the K03s from jettas wont fit on our cars

I know there's some ppl doin it but I'm not willing to risk it. My last car was a Z28 LT1 6 speed so I really wasn't buying my Audi for speed. I didn't think I would be doing any performance mods to it, but then I found the forums. I was kinda sick of drivin a manual, and I figured what's the point of havin a manual with such a slow car, but my next A4 will deff be manual and I'll be doing a big turbo upgrade possibly APR stage 3+. Or maybe even a 3.0 w/ the PES supercharger. We'll see.

K03 Sport does offer horsepower gains not sure how many. One big draw back to the K03 Sport is that it generates more heat in the charge air which causes heat saturation in the intercooler. This is why the K03 Sport isn't as popular as it used to be. The K04 doesn't have this problem beause the compressor wheel is bigger so it doesn't have to work as hard to compress the air thereby reducing the amount of heat put in the charge air.

I have attached pics of both k03 models-A4 K03 & Jetta K03.
