im new here and new to european car now.. i started doing a realtor business so i decide to sell
my honda cars and buying audi a4 1998 version on monday for 5000 dollars..
its black and black and its 5 speed manual transmission.. im looking to getover more horses than 150 stock LOL
so help me out.. oh yea this is my first turbo car..
isnt it easy to boost this audi up easily by swiching stock turbo? to k05?? or so not sure

i need some advice.. i got about 1000 dollar to spend cash on performance part for now
i just wanna change turbo first if i can.. than buy a exhuast later on if i have to..

k04-015 is like 7-800$ shipped.

You need software to accomodate the new turbo though

 

how much gain are you talkin about buyin a turbo and a new chip?

 

235-250hp. Youd have to get an exaust system and fmic, 5bar, injectors..etc.. all the supporting mods. I believe u can get alot more HP wiht some good tuning.

But for the type of money required youd be better off getting an Eliminator kit. gt28rs or 71r will get you some very good numbers.

base k04 is 235/265 HP/TQ to the crank.

which comes to be about 205/230 HP/TQ to the wheels with 22% drive train loss.

What you need for k04?

Turbo: k04-015
Chip : GIAC K04 Chip
FPR: 5 bar FPR
New Plugs.... BKR7E's gapped at .028 I think..


It may dip a little over 1k though

 

Dont forget Exaust system. I would run a FMIC also. It also sest you up for the next stage..

 

yea exhuast is needed too... prices are 650-900 for Borla-APR. but you can get custom bent tubing if you want.

As for the FMIC , its not NEEDED .. you can run the base k04 w/ out one. but if you plan to go PC-16 (timing advnace more fuel version of the k04 (k05) software)
then you will need one. And yes, its nice to have to keep those IAT's down
