Default wheel bearing replacement how to??

So i got this "honing" sound coming from the right front wheel. I think it is due to me not doing the alignment. So now, from the forums, I think I wore out my bearing.

i would like to know how much and what will it take.

I have a 1997 tqm

Thanks,
Fritz

Apparently its a huge bitch to replace. I am going to pay the local shop $100 for the labor to pull that thing... Shouldn't take more than 2 hours to do. You need to right tools tho.

I have been told you can, and there is a DIY on audiworld.com, but as both Jeff and I said its more of a pain in the *** than its worth.

You need a press to do it, otherwise you won't get it installed perfectly and it will die again prematurely. Take off the hub and all, and take it to a shop to have them do it. Cheaper if you do that instead of taking the whole car in.
