Default wheel question?

Sorry guys, but i have to ask this question because im still unclear about wheels sizes? Right now i have stock wheels on my 99' a4. I would like to put 18' rs4 replicas on my car. Can I have this done without lowering my whip or rolling my fenders? or will i have to go with 17's to be on the safe side? I would like my wheels to be as large as possible, but i need to know what my limit is before i have to alter my vehicle(which i do not want to do). Thanks and Happy Easter to all !!!

yea u could fit 18s on it if u wanted to go there it would make for a better look cause it would fill the wheel wells better. now if u were lowering your car also u would have to watch how wide u go wit the 18s

I would recommend lowering the car with 18s, without this, they look a little high for me.

you can put 18s on without lowering it no problem. but if you want to lower your car, you have to watch the width of the wheels or you will get rubbing (i think 8.5 is as wide as you can go w/o rolling the fenders). and if you're putting 18s on, you really should lower your car, or it will look like a 4x4.

no it's not your only option. if you have a stock suspension (a non-sport) than it already looks pretty high. i know mine does. if you put larger wheels on (even though you would use lower profile tires) it would raise your car somewhat. but it's not really major.

anyone have pics of 18s on a stock suspension for mr. bing here???

I lowered my car and have 18s on and i dont rub, i wanna go lower so i will have to roll the fenders. So eliminating all possabilities if you have sport suspension on even non sport an 18"x8" wheel will fit without rubbing. If you want your car to look like this then you might have to think about suspension, sorry if this car belongs to someone on the forum, but i have to use it as an example. The first picture is with just wheels i believe 17s, the second picture which i like the most of the two is stock wheels but lowered with h&r sport springs and bilstein struts.

i like the lowered look with 16s much better than 17s or 18s with stock suspension. that top pic looks like a non-sport suspension, but i can't tell for sure.
