Default RE: Wheel Spacers?!?!

agreed....I believe my stock offset was 32 and now i'm up to 35....and you are only running 8mm....what I am trying to convey is that if there is almost or more than an inch of gap that spacing 25-35mm is intense and brutal...I have friends who have 1 1/2" spacers, and they have no problems (not on audi(on datsun 240z))...all I was trying to say is that anything under 10mm will increase wear a nominal ammount, but when you start getting close to an inch of space all the way around the wear will be more than apparent....

I once again am suggesting than if you want to fill a gap that is any larger than 10mm that you should (i would recommend) save your pennies and go with a wider set of tires....

fahquad....I do understand where you are coming from, if i had any clearence issues I would not hesitate to put 8mm spacers all the way around my car....in fact when I do get the new suspension I probably will not clear in the back and I will have to roll the fenders and go spacers all the way around....

I am hoping that i can get away with 5mm (since my wheels are just about perfectly flush)....I wish I could just space the rear, but I have heard of one too many differential issues when it comes down to a staggered set-up and quattro...

I am not here to fight...I have had much experience w spacers before, I would just not recommend using them if you DO NOT have to...and even if you did, your suspension will not immediately fail, far from it, it will just increase the wear

Default audi wheel spacers

I have a 2006 audi a4 quattro with 18" wheels. I also have a set of 17" wheels that i would like to put on but they rub the brake caliper bracket. What width wheel spacers would i need to clear the bracket. Also what length wheel studs would then be necessary.
