where did thery hide the under the hoold fuse box, my secondary airpump has a mind of its own and i need to shut the dam thing off it wont stop running even when the car is off.. 2000 a4 1.8t

i think there was.. i was told the fuse for the air pump was under the hood.. i know my 99 had a fuse box under the hood but i dont know were it is on the 2000 and i dont feel like riping the car apart to find it

 

i dont think my 99.5 has one atleast not a visible one

 

well any one... I need to turn this dam thing off.. how the heck can i do it..

 

my 2001 doesnt have one... my fuse box is behind that plastic between that you see when you open the door kinda behind the dash, i looked forever and could never find one under the hood so i concluded that there isnt one, lol

 

blah i know where it is now.. i think i found it on audiworld, the fuse and the relay for the air pump are in the ECU box.. saw the pic from a 01 they said the 2000 is the same.. and i dont have any tools

 

Could it be a bad relay? why would the dam thing still turn on when the car is off...

 

Maybe a bad ground?I dunno but thats odd. You know if you take the fuse out for it or disconnect it in any way that will turn your CEL on right?

 

i dont care.. i can clear it every few days with the cruise control switch with the APR ecu.. im going to jack the car up in the am and take apart the pump found a diagram on audiworld that shows you how to rebuild the pump.. also going to replace the fuse and the relay.. how do you check a relay..
