Wheres the CD changer hookup?
I got my mp3yourcar.com unit with front and trunk connections. It looks like the front requires me to take the headunit out (I need those 4 tools, dont have and it'd be nice to install tonight), but the trunk is just a DIN connection???
So with that said, I think I could hook up to the trunk changer connection, then run it along the side, up to the center console and call it a day.
Where is the connector?
Will this work?
Anyone?
I cant find it!

Yea but WHERE I wonder....
If I cannot find it, I will probably swing by a stereo place and buy 4 of those little removal tools and just install in the front.
It seems hard to believe that my A4 doesnt come with the cd changer hookup? 2004 Audi A4 Ultra-Sport hrmm..

I guess I am not wired for it.
There is a little pocket thing on the drivers side rear trunk. It is a deep pocket. I remove that and there is nothing but bare metal inside there. I cant feel a thing.

if you've got an 04, it's in the trunk on the drivers side. You should see a little cubby hole type thing with a rectangular cut out at the top. Pry the cut out out carefully with something plastic and you should have access to the changer/sat/phatnoise hookup.
But it's not the same connection as on the back of the HU, so if you got the ipod connection for the HU it has to go in there.

There was a little cubby on the left side. I pulled it out and looked in there. Just a big open metal area. I used a flash light and I dont see a thing inside there.
I am going to go down after the game and take a few pics.
Damn i wanna install this ****!!!
:P
I have both hookups. The one for the trunk is just a big round DIN connector. The one for the headunit is a rectangular smaller thing with 2 12v- ground hookups i need to crimp on to something. I prefer not to do all that crap.

if there are no connections tapped to the top of the plastic they probably fell down into the fender area. You'll have to take the trunk liner out.
It's a bit of a PITA since you have to take the back seat out on the pass side, but unless you want to get all cut up by digging around through the hole it's probably your best option.
The connection is completely different though, so you're probably wasting your time.
