White or Black? For a new A4 S Line...
In a new 2007 A4 S Line, which color would show up the cosmetic upgrades on the car better??? I am thinking Ibis White, and i think Ibis White would look nice with some 5% Tint at the same extent, but you can't get a hotter looking car than when a black car is spic and span clean.........what do you think????

I'm in the market for a new '07 A4 myself. I was interested in the S-line but the only upgrades I see in the brochure are badging, 18" wheels and the dealer I'm working with said the steering is a little tighter but overall not worth it. If S-line had a bigger turbo or something substantial, that would be one thing but the S-line package just says "I don't have enough for a real S4 but I'm willing to pay to fake it". I say save your money.

Your reply is rife with knee-jerk reactions and misinterpretations to my comments. One, I lumped all the fancy bumpers, sills and other superficial things as "badges" because that's all they are. They provide minuscule benefit, certainly not worth the money. Also, I never said anything about the DTM package so try not to put words in my mouth. At the end of the day, you're paying $2k for 18" wheels, a sport suspension and badges. You can get 18" wheels in the aftermarket, a sport suspension which will rarely yield a noticeable response, and the deplorable superficial badges.
lol well thats all you wanted

My only worry is that the black color of the car will not show the different bumpers and door sills, as the white would. Do you think the color would really hinder the difference in the S Line??

Ok to start off, when I talked about the DTM package I said "IF I SAID THIS" then you would have to agree due to the fact you are associating the S LINE as impersonating an S4 and then SINCE the DTM PACKAGE makes the S4 look like a RS4 somewhat, then it would most likely be saying the same thing as YOUR ORIGINAL response to my thread. Also you have no idea what BADGING IS, DOOR SILLS, PRETTY MUCH THE S4 FRONT BUMPER, REAR BUMPER AND STEERING WHEEL, ARE NOT CONSIDERED BADGES. The S LINE badges are on the rear and front of the car, the steering wheel and on the inside where the door shuts. Also they aren't superficial (WHICH MEANS FAKE OR PHONY), they are REAL INTEGRAL PARTS OF THE BODY OF THE A4 S LINE CAR. Also if you try to rebuttle with the fact they make the A4 a "PHONY S4" then you need to compare the cars a lil closer. ALSO YOU ARE TRYING TO TELL SOMEBODY WHO HAS CREATED SHOW CARS BEFORE ABOUT AFTERMARKET PARTS. ALSO FOR THE RIMS AND UPGRADED SUSPENSION, YOU ARE SPENDING WELL OVER 2000 DOLLARS FOR ANY AFTERMARKET PARTS FOR RIMS AND SUSPENSION. On my last car I spent 2600 alone for BBS CH's with TOYO TIRES and I got a 20% discount cause they partially sponsored my car. Also IF YOU TRY TO SAY A AFTERMARKET SUSPENSION DOESN'T YIELD ANY RESPONSE YOU KNOW NOTHING, try to put some COILOVERS, FRONT AND REAR SWAY BARS, and then tell me how your suspension feels???? GO SEARCH ON THIS FORUM AND RESERACH BEFORE YOU ATTACK SOMEONE VERBALLY ABOUT SOMETHING YOU HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE ABOut EXCEPt FOR SOMETHING YOU READ ABOUT IN SOME BROCHURE.................
