Hi kind of random question, maybe the techs know... the white paint marking on some fasteners. Is that that only done at the factory or do the dealer techs mark with white paint on some fastners too?

I guess the real question is: If a screw has it's white paint intact does that mean it's never been removed since the factory?

 

That is done at the factory so the dealers can tell if the car has been tampered with or not properly torqued.
