Hey man i tried to figure it out on my own but cant get the right answer!.. Who has converted their 1998 1.8t headlights to xenons one piece headlights... i want to do it but dont know what year audi lights i have to buy and what xenon bulbs i need.. my friend recomended 1000k bulbs.. guys really need help .. help a fellow audi driver out .. thanks

share some pixs of your work.. thanks

And get 4300K, thats closest to what comes in them, and don't skimp on the brand either.

Something like this or if you can get ahold of Jestomen, ask where he got his, they were like factory.

Get the ecodes from lltek or ecstuning, not the cheap ebay stuff. Follow that write up and you'll be good. I bought my ecodes from lltek and the HID kit from here. Just remember that the lower the number , ex. 6000k, the brighter the light. I wouldn't suggest anything above 8000k, it has that cool bluish look but the output is terrible, 6000k and 4300k are better choices. Goodluck.

+1 for that link, its the one I used to do mine. I used 4300k lights from Philips, awesome blend of visibility and blue hue.

can you just get xenon hid bulbs and put them into your stock (i have projectors) headlights without buying ecodes??

Yea you can but they won't be nearly as bright as with the HID kit. The output (watts) will still be same as stock.

From the experienced audi drivers.. it looks like this project is a for sure screw up!!.. any other suggestions!... the thing is that my lights look old already it needs a facelift.. i want to put pix on the forum, to show you guys but i dont know how.. what can i do.. ive seen a4 b5 with nice headlights but they are not 98 a4, like mine!...

if i get the 2001 a4's headlights which are one piece.. can i have xenons on those headlights .. if not what kind of headlights do i need?.. and where can i get them?... thanks
