Default Who will win?

My chipped Audi A4 1.8T 1999.5 vs...

1) 1999 Eclipse RS
2) 1997 Eclipse GS-T
3) 1998 BMW 4-door 328
4) 2004 Mustang (not GT)

Thanks

Do you have a 5spd? Fwd? What chip? Are all these other cars stock? Do you mean 1/4 mile? Off the line? On the highway? This is way too broad...

Yeah my car is a 5 speed, the others are stock, off the highway, start. I used to own a 1997 5 SPD Eclipse GS-T and it was SO fast. EVen chipped, the Audi doesn't feel as fast. But yeah all else being stock... would I beat the BMW?

I test drove a stock gs-t when i was 16 and it was thrilling, probably beat all the cars you have listed including yours.

I think he is asking will his car beat any of those?

Your car : 200HP 3200 LB car. 125 bhp/ton

1) 99 Eclipse RS: 2.0L I-4 140HP 2754 lb car
2) 97 Eclipse GT-T 2.0L I-4 210HP 2899 lb car
3) 98 BMW 328i 2.8L I-6 190HP 3131lb car
4) 2004 Mustang (non GT) 3.8L V-6 190 HP 3000 lb car

Now, this is how i will factor it. The eclipses are FWD, I will use DTL (drive train loss) index of 15% (Im factoring in traction as well)
BMW and Mustang are RWD i will use the 13% DTL index.
Your car , assuming its quattro will be 22% DTL index.

1) WHP = 140*.85 = 119WHP. Power to weight ratio: 86.41 WHP/Ton
2) WHP = 210*.85 = 178.5 WHP. Power to weight ratio: 123.14 WHP/Ton
3) WHP = 190*.87 = 165.3 WHP. Power to weight ratio: 105.58 WHP/Ton
4) WHP = 190*.87 = 165.3 WHP. Power to weight ratio: 109 WHP/Ton
5) Your Car = WHP = 200*.78 = 156 WHP. Power to weight ratio: 97.5 WHP/Ton

You have a turbo with some good torque, but your power is still lacking, this is what I see happening.

1st : 97 Eclipse GS-T
2nd: 2004 Mustang
3rd: BMW 328i
4th: Your 99.5 Audi Chipped
5th: 99 Eclipse RS

The BMW and Mustang are close, but they are similar engines, so I say the mustang come ahead.

If you disagree, or have opinions let me know, I just ran the numbers
