what is PC-16? now im really confused K03's got different versions,is it same forK04's? if so i guess i'll have to read up on that too. so far from all what ya'll wrote i got this: swap to K04 get more hp and tq. later install chip and hp/tq go higher but only to 220 hp? if higher its damaging ur engine components?

now im really confused K03's got different versions, Differnt versions for differnt cars
is it same forK04's? The newer 01+ ko3 is basically the same turbo
if so i guess i'll have to read up on that too. Not sure what else there is
so far from all what ya'll wrote i got this: swap to K04 get more hp and tq. Depends on the car, unless you TOTALLY missed read the title of the thread
later install chip You can either go with a new chip or adjust the chip for the ko3
and hp/tq go higher but only to 220 hp? That is what the turbo is rated for, and thats about the max you can run whp wise on a fwd car and pushing it some. People have wasted time and money making it do more and all they are doing is killing the turbo quickly
if higher its damaging ur engine components? The 1.8t can do much more than what a pos kkk turbo can muster

depends on what you want your car to do/perform.

What power goal
what do you plan on using the car for
how much you looking to spend
keeping stock internals
how much lag can you stand

simple things like that need to be addressed before we can decide ona turbo

thats the main issues with these cars, there isnt much inbetween basic mods and a big turbo. you either go big or go home with mods for performance

Cincy, are you saying that fwd is considerably weaker then the awd? In that if you ran more then 220 hp on fwd a4 it would destroy it? WOuldnt make much sense to me.

also if you statistics are proving that its pointless to upgrade to ko4, why do people with ko4 says their car pulls better and there is less turbo lack?

No no no, i was saying that that is the max for the turbo, not the car and i said fwd because thats more of what i have seen dyno'd. The manual tranny for both awd and fwd can hold the power as long as you got a clutch rated for the tq.
