Okay...long story short...ahole ex-bf drove my Audi for two years. I drove his 06 Acura TL until it was repossesed out from under me (*****...just pay the bill, will ya!!)

I take back my 2005.5 A4 1.8 and it is sluggish as hell. He had been filling her up with 87. I have started putting in premium, but tell me this...how long will it take to get my baby back to peak performance? Should i do anything else?

Oh, BTW, the brakes are shot on it too...there is another 500bux i have to spend!

that sucks. running 87 will not 'hurt' your engine; just limit performance. Give it a few tanks and you might want to try an octane booster for a tank or two. Maybe you forgot while driving the TL that the 1.8T is slower than a minivan stock

 

Just reset the ecu by disonnecting the battery for about 10mins andput 91+ from now on and your fine. All the car did was pull some timing which made it sluggish so the engine didnt get damaged. The car will correct itself and you will be fine in a couple days

 

Audi can corner on a dime, but i can't get anywhere quickly. I miss my TL...but the jerk wrecked it bad ($10k damage) and burnt out the clutch and he only drove the thing twice.

I can turn this leased Audi back in in August 08, but the trick is finding something that looks just as nice as this baby!

 

I thought the TL was repoed?

Did you know i drive a Q7 and it got repo'd and then i wrecked my Q7 and did i mention i had a TSX and a Pathfinder? This thread is as strait as Elton John
