I recently purchased a B6 because mainly the looks, and i've done all the preventive maintenance on it and am ready to get software upgrade. i keep seeing people say that for the B6 the REVO chip is better than GIAC (which is best for B5) and APR, but nobody explains why. I really want to go REVO and i would like to know why it's better than APR (which i had on a 00 B5) and GIAC. please dont hate for asking another chip question, i just need to know why and i want the best for LOLA (yeah, that's her name).

Also, another big plus is that the REVO shop here in Salt Lake City doesnt charge for installation, but the APR and GIAC shops do charge for install. that is not the reason i want to go with REVO but is definately a plus.

Does anybody have REVO for the B6 and how do you like it, and if you had anything else different in the past, how does it compare?

manily cause everyones a groupie............ but seriously, giac and apr are just as good, if you wana eventually go BT get revo cause it is pretty good. Also since a revo dealer is right near you, get REVO cause its right near you and if you get any problems then you know where to take it.

 

Both GIAC and APR shops are within the 30 mi range like the REVO, but not sure what to get. It's hard when you have this many choices.

 

most people are just biased so they like what they choose. They say REVO is best cause it causes the least amount of problems with the b6. in actual reality they're probly all about the same so since revo install is free and close by go with revo.

Exactly. You'd be happy with all three brands. Revo is no better for the B6 than GIAC or APR.

 

Well what all you can do is search, and find the threads with all the actuall proof. Things dont just get said out of nowhere.

Your b6 will run better with revo than the others.

I don't think there is any proof. I think ppl are all hyped up about Revo because of their software for the eliminator turbos for the b6. I can guarantee GIAC and APR are just as good. BTW, I have Revo.

 

Get Revo and Lemmiwings and you can play around with the software. It is fun
