Default why so little power?

ok this is just a question regarding the ko4 turbo power output. why is this turbo so cheap on power it only produces like 250bph and 265btq. y would anybody buy such a weak turbo when u could get a bigger one that is pricey but u get ur moneys worth. my eliminator kit and all the part like the intercooler intake software tuning and stuff like that was alot of money but im putting out 300 hp to the wheels and 350 tq. it just baffels me is this turbo made for the people that cant afford the bigger turbo kits?

it was the "first" turbo upgrade kit for these cars.. people saw that the tt,s and rs4 were running the k04's and since it was factory avilable and proven it got put on

its not much cheaer then bt, so thats not the case.. its more for reliability and a bit more performance

bt setups cause headaches

Snap on fit, lots of programming and reliability. The K04 isn't made for the A4, but it is a drop in replacement for "off road use only".

No need for stand alone programming.

The more power you increase over stock, the higher your chances of breaking things (including the law. lol). There are lots of people that just need a little more power, and want to have the reliability of a factory car, not a highly modified car.

exactly..

some people mightwant a drag queen, highway monster, dyno queen, auto X'er, or a stock reliable car. it's just preference.. obviously someone looking for 400whp isn't going to be putting ina ko4..or even an eliminator..

so some might say why would you spend $1500 for a GT2871r when you could spend just a couple hundred more and get a GT35r and almost twice the power
