No, my 17's have the same diameter as my factory 16's. I just have low profile tires. Actually low pro tires have better performance characteristics - less wall flex. 18 and 19" wheels might be pushing it though.

actually having a wider tire in the back will get you more rubber on the ground and help you with turns. Also by having 17's or 18's you will have a low pro tire you tires wont roll.

thanks all! this site is the f*&ckin best. i used to be into the whole honda thing for about 7 years then decided to go for an audi, just the mere potential of the a4 is just amazing. ive found the right car!
