Default Will 18's fit easily?

Sorry I am sure this question has been answered but I could not find it after searching for a while for an a4 (found it for a6 and guessing its the same but don't want to be wrong...). I have a 96 A4 and am looking to upgrade to 18" wheels, will they fit with no problems with 225/40/18 tires? I was looking at getting 18x8 but may get 18x18.5, would I need spacers for the 8.5s?

Be careful with your width, as an 18x9 will often rub. Offset can make the difference as well.

yeah but you won't find too many wheels with a 9 inch width so it shouldn't be a problem

Yeah 8.5 is the widest I would go with, will probably be goin with 18x7.5 or 8 though
