You'll find people that say it will mess up your quattro system and other that say it is ok to do. I, myself, would not risk it. But on second thought if you look at the new R8 it is quattro and come stock with staggered rims

damn. those are just about the only black rims I could find with the right lug pattern that I liked. Do you know of any websites that have black rims for my lug pattern that are not staggered. I'm tryin to find 5 or 6 spoke black rims.

I am a major fan of Konig Unknown's -

There are many wheel sites out there and a lot of choices when it comes to wheels.
here is a really cool site to view rims on - limited selection, but very cool

Staggered means that the wheels in the front are narrower than the wheels in the rear - for example the set you are looking at have 9.5 in the rear and 8.5 in the front.

that's just false. you won't hurt your quattro with staggered wheels, unless the tire diameter is different from front to back. I believe there was a thread on this not to far back, and it said that you can do staggered wheel sizes, you just have to be careful about what tire sizes you choose. for example, if you're running 16 x 8's on the front with 225/50-16's, and 16 x 9's on the rear with 245/45-16's, that would work fine because the tire diameter (height of the wheel, essentially) is the same front and back. it's the same for other sizes as well, you just have to do your research.
