no, not all audis have tint stock, most do not...

 

eh most auto glass has a very slight tint to it.

 

right but that's not the kind of tint that you would have to remove before reinstalling new stuff is it?

 

I mean I didnt ask for any tint at the dealer, I thought all A4's had tinted glass stock. If you go to www.audiusa.com and hit the Features and Specs link you'll see that the first one is tinted glass even though it doesnt look like the car has any tint at all. I guess all glass has a mild tint inside the glass.

No, you can't remove it. It is something to keep in mind when tinting though. Here's an example of why. Say your state only permits 50% tint. If you go and tint your car 50% (lightest amount available most places) your car will probaby fail if you get inspected. Most cars come from the factory with 95-90% tinting, which is not even noticeable to the eye. Sometimes when you get your car inspected the inspector will use a special tool to detect the level of tint. Most places don't really care unless you have limo tint though.

 

in california any tint on the front windows is illegal....i have 50% now and no one gives me trouble for it....when i had 35% on my old car, i got warned about 3 times in one year....it really depends on your local police.....
