there was a slight crack in it, and last night i was driving around it it was making the noise as if, ice were cracking when you stand on it. so i puhed on it just a bit, and it cracked. i know i should have touched it, but oh well. so did anyone else have to replace a windshiled? how much do they go for is what im getting at?

Windshield should be covered on your insurance these days - you just pay £60 and they do the rest

my insurance covered my windshield. i didnt even have to pay a deductible or whatever.

mine is cracked too. buts okey its is behind miror. I went to a glass store they say it will cost me 150 buks for new windshild with work.

 

I had one put in last month and it was 120 put in, which comapred to many cars is really a fair price

 

did you get it done at a glass place? or a car shop?

 

If you can afford to get it done..do it now! It could easily spread even more if you wait. Or you can get the crack filled so it'll stop any further cracking. Insurance companies are different..I've got state farm and have a $250 deductible (goes under uninsured motorist), rather than the normal $500 deductible.

For my Honda it cost $380 or something, but they charged me $250 (family's done business before) so I didn't bother going thru insurance. Since this is an Audi you're probably looking at like $2k (just kidding). Probably ballpark $350-$500.
