Default WONT START

So i finished up dont the rotors on my girls A4, go to start it up and it wont start. All the electrical stuff comes on, and the battery is brand new. When I actually go to start the car all I get is rapid clicking. Tried to jump it, did nothing. Just finished putting in a new igintion switch, did nothing (which I expected but it needed to be done anyways). Is the starter fucked? I need to get this thing off the road so I can work on it in the garage....

clicking is a dead cert for a bad battery and if it persists then check the alternator

Ok so I noticed that one of the fuses behind the drivers side dash is missing its cap, and seems a little rusted.

as well as one of the connectors has nothing on it

could this have to do with anything?

So i just went under the car and gave the starter a few taps with my 10" socket extension. Now instead of the loud fast clicking, i get a fainter fast clicking that sounds like its coming from the left side under the dash. Basically around all those fuses down there. Is there starter fuse that coudl be bad/going bad that would cause a sound like that?

I was worried that was the case. You think Audi will pay for a new one since I can say it was caused by the faulty ignition switch?

Strange... I remember reading a post not too long ago about someone wanting to blame Audi for having a starter go bad after an ignition switch recall done by Audi days earlier. Search on it.
