My car is finally fixed.... no more "ticking", complete oil pressure, driving well. Yaaay........ I think my turbo is starting to make a whirring noise though.

Nice glad to hear things are sorted out. As long as the turbo doesn't get too loud it's ok. I can hear mine all the time.

It starts at about 2200rpm and the engine drowns it out after about 3500rpm, so I guess it will be ok, but if it gets louder i'll just get a new one. :-)

Yeah I love the noise too. It's the turbo spooling up. Unless it's VERY loud, I wouldn't worry but the turbo is supposed to make that noise.

glad to hear you got things all worked out....what ended up being the problem with the low oil pressure?

Bizarre really, I ran some Kerosene through the motor for 20 minutes and it freed up. I didn't have any oil getting to the top end but now I have heaps. So in short I had a faulty switch, no oil at the top end caused by a semi blocked oil pick up & some sludge. Thanks for everyones help with all of it anyway. You all be champions in book.

P.S. If my breather assembly wasn't attached, would that cause the Turbo not to make noise & my car run a bit sluggish?
