I know Im asking for it when i bring this up.... and everyone will hate me but really, I doesnt matter to me!

Yes, I was curious enough to buy a BOV and yes Im going to install it myself. OOOO HERE IT COMES....

HOW DO I INSTALL THIS LIL GUY!!

I have been searching everywhere for a complete guide on how to locate, remove, and install a new DV or BOV... but I havent been able to find anything. The only thing I am find are lots and lots of flames... but im ignorant when it comes to cars and this is nothing more than a novelty to me. I could listen to you guys but I chose to figure out the downfalls myself... even though the advice is probebly tried and true.

But seriously, I dont know where the hell this DV is. I have instructions for a VW JETTA which is drastically different. Ive been told its behind the HEAD LIGHT but where!! and HOW!!!! Thats all i need to know. Please ,if you can be specific about the instructions on installing... please do so. And dont tell me to throw this in my gas tank.

You really should talk with David_k about this kinda stuff..and take his advice seriously. He's our resident expert on the BOV.

But is it different for the newer b5's? 2000 and up? I have no clue...

 

PM him. He's got his hands full right now with the rebuild. Just a warning, he didn't just put a BOV on, he also put on a completely new MAF meter on too. It's not as simple as just installing a BOV. Also might want to check out ImolaS4's post on the general Audi chat forum. He's got a comprehensive explanantion.

There is no welding involved if he buys a BOV that doesn't need welding.

Mr evil a4. I would not recomend intsalling the BOV, but since you have it and your asking ill tell you how. what BOV are you trying to install? then i will be able to help you intsall it.

Doose was right, i did change other things with the adddition of a BOV. do you have any plans for a chip or any other modifications? anyways reply with your brand of bov and ill help you install it. sorry i didnt get to it sooner ive been very busy with school, work, fiance, and the now dead "turbonator"
