Would you trust buying like this, online?
My co-worker referred a credit union he has been using for more than 2 years. I applied for credit there and I got reasonable interest rates. Since I missed an Audi A4 purchase last week, the credit union agent offered me a service called http://www.autosolutionstn.com/index.htm. Basically this company finds cars anywhere in the country.
The autosolutions salesman offered me today an Audi. HE claims tht the AUdi has only 17,000 miles, A4, manual, red, with leather - exactly like I want, 2006 for $23,000. He showed several picures. He says that he has the carfax from this car and it is from a trusted dealer somewhere in the US. He saysI would need to buy the vehicle then he would bring it over to my city.
Have you seen suh type of online broker? Do you think it is something people should trust?
Based on the information below, does it sound like this car has the Miles Per Gallon, etc computer information on the display in the main driver panel?
Here is the list of accessories in the Audi:
[ul][*]Driver Side Air Bag[*]Passenger Side Air Bag[*]Anti-Lock Brakes[*]Air Conditioning[*]AM/FM Radio[*]Alloy Wheels[*]All Wheel Drive[*]Bucket Seats[*]Center Arm Rest/Console[*]Cassette[*]CD Changer[*]Beverage Holders[*]Climate Control[*]Cruise Control[*]Dual Zone Climate Control[*]Intermittent Wipers[*]Manual Transmission[*]Power Brakes[*]Power Door Locks[*]Power Mirrors[*]Power Steering[*]Driver Side Power Seat[*]Power Windows[*]Rear Window Defrost[*]Side Air Bag[*]Sunroof[*]Tilt Steering Wheel [/ul]

So you have to buy the car before seeing it? I would want to drive the car first and see if there are any problems with it at all. Make sure the warrenty is still good too.
I wouldn't do it. I got my car at a used car dealer AFTER we tried this.My original carwas an 02 Altima 2.5s and after Iwrote it offI wantedanother one. We looked around online at an aucrion site and found a nice black 04 Alti with 94kms and it looked VERY VERY nice on the pics. Inerior was clean and everything looked great. He asked me if I was SUREI wanted it because if I did he'd just click the mouse and he'd bought it. I told him to do it. When I saw it, I was sooo disapointed almost tothe point of crying. The car was SLOW, smelled of smoke and there were cigarette stains and burns on the seats as well as the entire interior had yellowed from the cigarette smoke. You could tell the driver before mebeat the **** out of the clutch and drove it hard. My Alti had 127kms on it and I babied that car. It was way faster and way more powerful than this "newer" POS. Fortunately I hadn't signed anything and the dealer told me not to worry. The second time around I told him that I'd like an 02 A4 that he has sat in smelled, driven and looked at with his own 2 eyes. That's how I found the A4 I drive now.
Moral of the story: Don't commit to a car you've only seen on the net unless it's BRAND NEW.

Good call,
Remember that if the dealer dosen't have it on the lot you can get him to find you one but make sure he has sat in it, tried all the toys, smelled for Cigarette smoke and touched it with his *****.... Ok maybe not his ***** but you know what I mean. Just make sure that you;ve made it clear what you're looking for so he can be just as **** as you want him to be.

I won't attempt to buy a car online again. Before my I got my audi I was lookn for a VR6 VW, and I found a perfect one on ebay. It was from a dealer a 150 miles from my house. It had a ton of pics and it appeared to be in excellent condition. I called and talked with a salesman at the dealership and he told me the car was in excellent condition, when I talked to him he said he was standing right infront of the thing, and it was near perfect.
I wont the car and had to put $300 down on it. I drove to the dealership to find a car not near perfect. I couldn't even get the thing started. When I arrived on the lot the salesman I talked to took me to the car, said he would be right back...and left the lot! He expected me to figure I was stuck and just buy the thing, but I just told the other guys to F-Off and walked outta there.
never again.
(however that site isn't ebay, so you can't really compare)

Don't go with a dealer,on a car as finicky with maintence/driving as an Audi. I'd only buy private party, with full reciepts, and an owner I could talk 2 about the car.
