um whats a "chipped" wrx?? I have a wrx...there isnt much "chipping" that can take place. lol. Maybe you guys are talking about UTEC? Its not really a "chip" according to wrx owners. And if a wrx has UTEC, than most likely he has turbo back exhaust as well. This will net a nice 13.4 in the 1/4 mile. An audi has to be pretty well modded to stick with a wrx that has UTEC or some other sort of programming on it.

 

wrx's r pretty quick stock, my car beats them without a problem, but there are plenty with minor mods that have ripped me. An sti on the other hand is fast to begin with, i can mess with them, but they always get me. in a few weeks im droppin an ecs n75, fmic, short throw, diff injectors, and the pc16 file. then i think my whip will be doing better and maybe be even with a stock sti. but like somebody else said, you can get an a4 with a stock k03 to beat a stock rex. just depends if you pick good parts or not...

 

So, AteUrV8, does this mean that your 12v coild keep up with a WRX? You beat a lighter, chipped jetta... the 12v must be faster.

 

sti's are only a second faster than a regular wrx in the quarter mile...which i guess is a lot but still.

 

yeah how is the driveability of an a4 once you have done K04's and giaced it? are they really hard to drive smooth and stuff?

my k04 is a nice easy drive, the clutch is what made it a bitch in traffic but oh well. reliability? driven my a4 coast to coast 5 times with the k03 n once with the k04. only problem i ever had was running an apr 93 octane chip on the west coast where they dont seem to know about this crazy idea of 93 octane, car ran like **** but that was only the first time. reliable? you decide.
as far as driving smooth???.......what's that????

One of my friends drives an 06 STI (w/ mods).. I have all the mods listed below and the test pipe goes on this weekend.. once I get the alc. injection and MBC we are going to the track.. I'll let you know how I keep up with him if at all and our times.. Might be a month or two tho I'll start a thread at that point. Maybe i'll rig up a shot a Nos LOL!!!
