Default wtb audi, need help

i looked around a couple of the post on here, but still not to sure. i want to buy an audi 96-2000. just have some questions like which is better 1.8t or the 2.8. reliability? whihc is the best to get basically what i'm asking. i know thats bland but i will get more into it once post come up and start bringing up new questions. i drive a 2.8 today and i like it. they wanted 10,800 for a 99 with 112k 5spd, white with blk interior. i have seen a couple around the 5500-7500 range. let me know thankx. - soon to be audi owner.

2.8 is more reliable, but the 1.8t has WAY MORE tuning potential

use the search feature this question comes up often.

if you want a daily driver w/o mods, get the 2.8, otherwise welcome to the fun world of 1.8s.

I have a 2.8 and love it. You can't do very much mod wise to a 2.8 but if you want REAL leather seats and power drivers seat, buy a 2.8. It's a good car for a daily driver and is a complete babe magnet, but if you're looking for ***** out speed prepare to buy a 1.8 and drop a bunch of cash, or buy a BMW.

i would say if you dont want to mod go with a 98 or newer 2.8l. In retrospect i wish i would have saved longer to get the 30v.

hey thankx for all your comments. ya the price is a bit high. been looking aorund and average price is 6500-8500. i have a lilttle bit for a down payment, which sucks is that i have no credit. only 20yrs old. can't even get a credit card at jc penny. lol. but i thought this might be a good way to build my credit. i want to go through a dealer because they can find me a good loan. do you suggest anything else for getting a loan, because there are a couple of people selling it privately for some decent prices. saw one for 5500 around where i live. main thing is to build credit. thankx and i hope i get one soon.

why would he buy a BMW to go fast ? Hes looking in the 10k range .. what kinda BMW he gunna get for that ?
Those 3 series have like no mod potential. Like your 2.8 .
