Is there a complete hose upgrade kit, preferably Samco for my b5?

I see there is one on ECSTuning but its for a B6...

Or do I have to buy them seperatley...TBB & Turbo inlet hose, there was alos an elbow looking one.

Why do you want to replace your hoses? The stock TIP/TBB, etc. are fine for k03/k04 as long as they arent leaking.Or is it just because samco hoses look cool?

Haha I don't know what it is with you guys and shunning upon preventative maintenance!!!

I can't believe how many people on here say "if its not broken don't fix it". To me i think that is the most rediculous statement i've ever heard. One of the great things with car forums is you learn what the weak spots or common failuresareand fix them before something goes wrong - ESPECIALLY is youre putting more stress on a part prone to failure.

If I'm putting twice as much boost through the system i want to make damn sure everything is going to be in tip-top shape.

Capiche?

onepoint8tee - I hope that wasn't a shot cuz I'm function over fashion and I do appreciate all the help you've given me. I just don't understand how everyone can rave about the importance of a timing belt but not care about the little things.

I guess for me its a piece of mind thing.

I don't know if it was here or AZ but someone posted a link to an ebay store which had the hose kits. It was the silicon hoses similar to samco and it had the kit for the entire intake system and a vacuum line or two. It was actually 2 different kits if you wanted everything and they were around $100-120 a piece or so. Much cheaper than the name brand ones. I'll see if I can find it for you.

Ok, I found it. They're made by Autobahn88. Here's a quick review of one of their hoses: http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=3221026.

Here's an ebay store with them: http://stores.ebay.com/ZENARacing

I run them in my car great bit of kit at half the price of Samco's

Also ask them to add clips to your order for all the pipes it will save to a load of hassle.

The stock hoses as far as the TIP, TBB, and IC piping/hoseshave proven to handle 20psi+ easilywith the exception of the notorious L shaped hose by the intake mani. Im all about preventative maintnence and peace of mind, but samco hoses just arent necessary. Vac lines are different, theywill rott easily, they should definately be replaced as preventative maint. But, show me one thread with someone complaining because their stockTIP/TBB/IC pipingis leaking.

Coo coo. I'm probly thinking a little too hard but thought the TBB was a mustdo. Vaccum lines are defintly shiet though, threw a "secondary air injection" code a few months ago and traced it to a completly ruptured vaccum line against the fire wall.

I do respect your opinion on the matter, and i guess how bad can it be right?Almost a cool feature about these cars is the limp mode - as much as it does suck ***** it'll prevent you from blowing up your motor haha. I wonder how many guys have detonated with a mbc and blown their shiet up. Seems to be a common trend in the old tuner world

docurley - thanks for the pics, you have a fmic? Nice that the kit comes with a new hose for your DV too. I saw Forge makes a bigger TIP for almost twice the price of the Autobahn one hey. I promised myself that I was gong to leave the car stock but it's been a year and lately I've just been itching to get some **** done.

I use a Baileys DV kit and just cut the intake pipe to slot the Baileys kit in to. The problem with the stock pipes is they compress under strong boost and I found boost seemed stronger after I fitted these and the 1psi I lost fitting the FMIC was pulled nearly pulled back with the pipes as they don't flex as much un pressure.
