ok so out of no where my cars engine light jsut came on and when im sitting at a light or something the RMPs rapidly go up and down not by much... it goes up and down between like below 1000 and up to like 1300. sometimes it almost feels like the car is about to turn off. and also when i accelerate my RPMs go up normally but then it goes down and then goes up intstead of just going up... haha i know i suck at explainging things but if anyone understnads this and knows what my problem might be let me know.

I dont see it being a boost leak concidering it does that at idle. when you are at idle, there is no boost to leak

 

no but at idle a boost leak becomes a vac leak which will cause very irratic idle and trying to die... just like he is claiming

kinda sounds like a missfire, check your "ICM" .. codes would help though

 

i dont think a misfire would cause that irratic of an idle
