Default WTF!! Lost all brakes!!!!

Last night i got out of a party and was trying to make a trhe point turn in front of someones garage, i step on the brake and it goes all the way down and nothing, it didnt brake at all, nothing, the pedal went all the way down, soft and no brakes, at all, i went for the ebrake, but it was too late, i hit the garage door (i left my card, didnt really wanna deal with it at the time, and it wasnt that bad) the brakes stayed the same all the way to my frineds house, i left the car there, we went to some other places in his car, when i got back i tried my cazr and it was fine, maybe, maybe a little, but very little, soft, but nothing you could notice, i have no idea what that was, but i dont feel safe driving it anymore, anyone has any idea what that was??? im stumped by this

Brake master cylinder is most likely if it went to the floor. Other cause is air in the line or possibly the brake booster.

Have it fixed ASAP.

Air in the brake lines???

Josh
Yep.. air in the hydraulic system (ie: brakes) can cause irregular pressure - Pretty common problem if the pedal goes to the fllor, especially after bleeding the brakes

could also be a vacume leak.. had the same thing happen to me and it was a valve attatched to the break booster..

ill still check the vacume, but i dont think thats it, wouldnt that make the brakes stiff and harder to brake, instead of going to the floor with no brake force? i think ill start by bleeding the brakes (and fixing my front bumper)

If the brake booster went bad it would most likely cause the brake pedal to feel harder, unless it let air into the line which is the cause of the no pressure pedal you experienced. It is obviously a hydraulic leak somewhere but I would look into the master or slave cylinder to be more exact.
